Yoga for the Chronically Ill:

Yoga can be a very healing discipline.  However, it is difficult to develop a practice, and to maintain one, if you have a chronic health problem.  As your body goes through its periodic changes, your needs for your practice change.  This might be on a daily basis, or might happen as rarely as once a year.

You might find that there are times that you can’t do any postures, but still want the spiritual benefits of yoga, and the community it provides.

Whatever your situation, this class is designed to help you explore your needs, modify your regular practice, for the times when you’re sick.  If you are new to yoga, this class will help you develop a practice that has this flexibility built into it.

We will meet twice a week, on a drop-in basis, so that you can figure out a good rhythm for your body.  Once a month, the Saturday class will end early.  In this shortened session, we will focus specifically on situations when you are sick, and still want to practice.
